Outperforming fifteen Big Brother Mzansi housemates in a fierce two-stage challenge, Mandy Hagan clinched her first Season 5 win with an impressive time of 2 minutes and 21 seconds, becoming the latest champion of the high-stakes arena.
Friday Night Games: Stage 1 – Champagne Pong Challenge
The first round, Champagne Pong, tested precision under pressure. Housemates stood behind a plank, aiming ping pong balls into three large glasses. The catch? Each ball had to bounce once before landing in a glass. Success required steady hands and strategic throws to secure three balls in a single glass.
Stage 2: Balancing Bets – A Test of Focus
The second hurdle, Balancing Bets, demanded extreme concentration. Housemates placed three straws vertically into a rice-filled container, then balanced gold coins atop each straw. Rules were strict: no movement outside designated footprints, no leaning coins, and all coins had to remain upright until crossing the finish line. Speed and stability were critical to claiming the 5,000 Rand prize.
Stage 3: Seeing Double
The third challenge was Seeing Double, where contestants had to replicate the decorations of a cocktail glass, including fruit kebabs, colored umbrellas, and other fancy touches.
Stage 4: Sour Lemon
The final challenge was Sour Lemon, where contestants had to grab a lemon from a big glass, place it on a dot in a mini obstacle course, and use a putt-putt stick to navigate the lemon through the course and into a round hole at the end.
