Day 26: Sweet Guluva and Mshini clash over food
There was a heated clash between Sweet Guluva and Mshini in the Big Brother Mzansi Season 5 family meeting.
Tensions flared in the Big Brother Mzansi Season 5 house as Sweet Guluva and Mshini found themselves at the center of a heated exchange during a food-related meeting.
While it was expected that housemates would clash over food following the loss of the Week 4 wager, no one anticipated that Sweet Guluva and Mshini would be the ones to ignite the fireworks.
The drama began after the Friday night arena games when whispers of food theft started circulating among the housemates. Mshini was the first to speak up, accusing Ash-ley Ogle of stealing juice. But the revelations didn’t stop there – Mshini also admitted to consuming some of the stolen food and called for a meeting to address the issue.
The meeting lasted over an hour, with Mshini, Philile, and Ash-ley Ogle all confessing to taking food out of hunger. They apologized for their actions and attempted to make amends.
However, the discussion took a spicy turn when Mshini apologized but declared that she would continue accepting food from the thieves if offered. This statement didn’t sit well with some housemates, sparking even more drama and reigniting tensions over house chores.
This week’s Head of Household (HoH), Jojo, called out Mshini, arguing that she couldn’t apologize and then justify continuing to take stolen food.
Mshini, however, stood her ground, insisting that if she was hungry, she would keep accepting the food since the theft was already happening.
Nate then chimed in, expressing frustration over Jojo’s earlier comment about missing lunch on Thursday due to the kitchen crew not washing dishes. This opened another heated debate, with the kitchen staff defending themselves and Uyanda claiming they were being unfairly blamed for not fulfilling their duties.
Jojo attempted to clarify that the issue was specific to Thursday when Philile couldn’t cook because the dishes hadn’t been cleaned. But by then, the tension had reached a boiling point, and the drama showed no signs of slowing down.
Sweet Guluva stepped in to share his perspective, stating that he, along with Nsuku, Uyanda, and others, had been handling the dishwashing duties diligently. He felt disrespected by the accusations that they were neglecting their responsibilities. Mshini interrupted him, claiming she was merely reinforcing Jojo’s point.
This interruption didn’t sit well with Sweet Guluva, leading to a fiery altercation between the two that escalated the tension in the room. Swiss eventually urged HoH Jojo to bring the meeting to an end.
The meeting concluded on a sour note, with no resolution in sight. As the housemates left the discussion, it remained unclear how the ongoing food and chore disputes would impact the dynamics of the house.
