Keeping strong and carrying on

Despite feeling emotional and rejected following the tensions from yesterday’s Friday Night Games, Head of House Ex was first to rise and wake up his fellow housemates this morning. And boy was it a groggy one, with no trainer to snap them into form.

While his partner Lebo was nowhere to be seen, maybe snoozing her morning away in the background, he joined Mbali for a cup of herbal tea and heart-to-heart.

The morning is often a good time to take stock, and with Mbali by his side to lend an ear he confessed that it had become awkward between him and Lebo. He had laid Lebo to the roast by denouncing their partnership in public. His reasons had always been that she didn’t give the union her all and slacked a whole lot on her Head of House duties.

But Mbali, who’d declined his offer to pair up, pointed out that he’d handled the whole situation in a rather harsh way. His announcement may have seemed much too severe and even cruel to others. If he was able to throw his partner under the bus in such a brazen manner how could he be trusted?

He admitted to being a little hard on Lebo who’d explained to him that she too picked up on areas where he was slacking but preferred to remain decent about it and give him the benefit of the doubt. He was also worried about his prospects in the game after last night.
